Curriculum & Standards

Though Spark uses technology as a tool, the program is human-focused. Teachers use an arts-integrated, experiential learning philosophy to guide students in an exploration of the NC Standard Course of Study. Spark does not use AI for teaching or grading. 

In addition to the core subjects Math, English Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science, elective offerings include Visual Art, Theatre Arts, Music, Dance, and STEM. Social emotional learning and life skills are fostered through the uniquely-designed REALS program.
